A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim that the street
described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby closed and
added to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL those portions of street situated in the City of Napier,
Hawke's Bay R.D., described as follows:

Adjoining or passing through
0 1 10·1 Parts Lots 37 and 40, D.P. 6257, being part Te
Whare-o-Maraenui Block.
0 1 17·6 Parts Lots 42 and 44, D.P. 6257, Lots 103, 104, 105, 106, and 114, D.P. 10248, being part Te
Whare-o-Maraenui Block.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 3789 (S.O. 3405) deposited in the office of
the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured

ALL that piece of land containing 234 acres 3 roods 28 perches
situated in the City of Napier, Hawke's Bay R.D., and being
all the land comprised and described in the Second Schedule
of Proclamation 116164, Hawke's Bay Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 29th day of September 1961.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the
Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of
the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Pursuant to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Otago Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea at Carey’s
Bay, Otago Harbour, the land edged sepia on plan marked
M.D. 11057 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

the notice dated 24 August 1954 and published in the Gazette,
2 September 1954, Vol. III, page 1398, conferring powers of
a Tribal Executive upon the Waihopai Tribal Committee.
