Change of the Name of Rotokare Domain

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby declares that the public domain described in
the Schedule hereto and known as the Rotokare Domain shall
hereafter be known as Barrett Domain.

Scheme of Control of Palmerston North High Schools

Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the
Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the
scheme of control of Palmerston North High School pub-
lished in the Gazette on 16 May 1929, Volume II, page
1421; and approves of all schools for the time being under
the control of the Palmerston North High Schools Board
being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme
of Control for Secondary Schools 1961.*

Scheme of Control of Waimea College

Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister

College being controlled in accordance with the Standard
Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961.*

Additional Members of the Wanganui Rabbit Board

of Agriculture hereby publishes the following resolution passed
by the Wanganui Rabbit Board on the 19th day of July 1961.

RESOLUTION

That, pursuant to section 25 of the Rabbits Act 1955, this
Board increase the number of elective members to nine to
provide the necessary vacancy for a representative from the
area included in the recent extension gazetted on 13 July 1961.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand

Pursuant to section 45 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand
Act 1933 (as amended by section 23 of the Reserve Bank of
New Zealand Amendment Act 1936), the Deputy Governor of
the Reserve Bank, acting with the authority of the Minister of
Finance, hereby gives notice that, as from 29 September 1961,
the balance to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each
other bank for the time being carrying on business in New
Zealand in accordance with the said section 45 shall be such
that, when added to that bank’s holding of Reserve Bank notes,
it shall be equal to not less than 21 per cent of its demand
liabilities in New Zealand, plus 10 per cent of its time liabilities
in New Zealand, as shown in the last preceding monthly return
furnished by that bank in accordance with section 46 of the
Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933.

Provided that the minimum balance to be maintained at the
Reserve Bank shall not be less than 7 per cent of its demand
liabilities in New Zealand, plus 3 per cent of its time liabilities
in New Zealand.

For the purpose of this calculation a bank’s holding of
Reserve Bank notes shall be as shown in the latest available
weekly return provided under the Statistics Act 1955.
