Tariff Notice—Application for Approval by the Minister of
Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for
the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of
the under-mentioned goods under item 155 (1) of the Customs
Tariff of New Zealand:

Hessian backed felt in widths 108 in. and over, for use on
laundry ironing machines.

The application will not be dealt with until 5 October 1961,
and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should
do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag,
Wellington, on or before 5 October 1961.

Any such objection should be supported by information as
to:

(a) The range of goods manufactured;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials
used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory costs in terms of materials, labour,
overhead, etc.

Tariff Notice—Application for Determination by the Minister
Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for
the classification, by determination of the Minister of Customs,
of the under-mentioned goods under item 333 (9) (a) of the
Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

(a) Trickle irrigation systems comprising nozzles, hose,
dilutors and joints for drip watering.
(b) Nozzles for drip watering systems used in horticulture.

The application will not be dealt with until 5 October 1961,
and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should
do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag,
Wellington, on or before 5 October 1961.

Any such objection should be supported by:

(a) information as to whether suitably equivalent goods are
available or can be produced in New Zealand; and
(b) details of landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v.,
and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance, freight,
exchange, other landing charges, and duty.

Declaration of Result of Election of Potato Growers'
Representative on the Potato Board

I, Neil John McHugh, Returning Officer of the Potato Board
Election, do hereby declare that Walter McKechnie Williams,
being the only person nominated to represent the Northern
Ward on the Potato Board, is elected a member of the Board
as from the 27th day of September 1961.
