Appointment of Officers Authorised to Attest the Signatures of Maoris

PURSUANT to sections 222 and 464 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

George Bernard Rushton, Field Supervisor, Hawera;
Dorothy Taare Waiterangi Walden, Welfare Officer, Hawera;
Samuel Edward Goldsmith, Welfare Officer, Ruatoria; and
Russell Bertrand Edward Griggs, Field Supervisor, Ngataki,
being officers in the service of the Crown employed by the Department of Maori Affairs in the position set out opposite his name, as an officer authorised to attest the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land and to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act 1924.
