KAMO TOWN COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Kamo Town District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the resolution of the Kamo Town Council made on the 6th day of October 1959, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the whole of the area within the Kamo Town District. The scheme has been deposited firstly in the office of Kamo Town Council, Bay of Islands Road, Kamo, secondly in the premises of Kamo Footwear at 163 Bay of Islands Road, Kamo, thirdly in the office of the Whangarei Regional Planning Authority, A.M.P. Building, Bank Street, Whangarei, and fourthly in the office of the District Land Registrar, Auckland, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and is there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 17th day of November 1961. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Patea County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for advances under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Patea County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·025d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County of Patea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid paid off.”

TARANAKI HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Harbours Act 1950, the Taranaki Harbour Board Empowering Act 1955 (hereinafter called “the 1955 Act”), the Taranaki Harbour Board Empowering Act 1960 (hereinafter called “the 1960 Act”), and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the Taranaki Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges in respect of the Taranaki Harbour Board Loan (No. 9) 1961 of £43,000 authorised to be raised by the Board by the terms of a sanction made by the Local Authorities Loans Board on the 24th day of March 1961, as varied by the terms of a notification of variation made by the Secretary to the Treasury on 16 June 1961 with the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and published in the Gazette of the 29th day of June 1961, No. 41, at page 911, the Board, in respect of part of the said loan amounting to the sum of £25,000 authorised to be borrowed by the 1955 Act, hereby makes and levies, pursuant to the 1955 Act, a special rate of one penny in the pound, two-thirds of a penny in the pound, and one-third of a penny in the pound respectively upon the capital value of all rateable property in the respective areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules to the 1955 Act and referred to in such Act as Rating Area No. 1, Rating Area No. 2, and Rating Area No. 3 respectively, subject, however, to the special rates made under the 1955 Act as security for other loans raised by the Board, namely, Loan No. 6 of £600,000 (of which £525,000 has been borrowed), and Loan No. 8 of £20,000; and the Board, in respect of the balance of the said loan of £43,000 amounting to the sum of £18,000 authorised to be borrowed by the 1960 Act, hereby also makes and levies, pursuant to the 1960 Act, a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny in the pound, one thirty-sixth of a penny in the pound, and one seventy-second of a penny in the pound respectively, upon the capital value of all rateable property in the respective areas referred to in the 1960 Act as No. 1 Rating Area, No. 2 Rating Area, and No. 3 Rating Area.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR REFUSE DISPOSAL

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for refuse disposal; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well founded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Eltham Borough Council, Eltham.

ALL that piece of land situate in the Borough of Eltham containing 1 acre 3 roods 29 perches, more or less, being Lot 7 on Deposited Plan No. 2215, being part of Section 36, Block X, Ngaere Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 55, folio 167 (Taranaki Registry), together with the water rights created by transfer No. 12658.

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

Upper Hutt District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, having been delegated the power so to do by the authority of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, the Upper Hutt Borough Council has resolved as follows:

“To consent to an application, lodged under section 35 (6) (b) of the above-mentioned Act, by Ida Alice Stroud and Ethel Grace Goodwin for a specific departure from the provisions of the Upper Hutt Borough Operative District Scheme by permitting the approval of a plan of subdivision of the land in Lots 3 and 4 on Deposited Plan No. 8921 into two new lots, even though one of the lots has a smaller frontage than is required in the case of land in a commercial district by clause 18 (2) (b) of the district scheme, namely 24 ft.”

INVITING PROPOSALS FOR WAITAKI COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waitaki County Council, at its meeting held on the 24th day of February 1961, has resolved to prepare for the Waitaki County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the district, as defined by section 2 of the Act, is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the scheme.

Proposals marked “Waitaki County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 16th day of December 1961.
