NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 291 of the Companies Act 1955, that a general meeting of members of the company will be held at the registered office of the company, No. 21 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, at 3 p.m. on the 10th day of February 1961, for the purpose of laying before the meeting the liquidator's account showing how the winding up has been conducted, how the property of the company has been disposed of, and to give any explanation thereof.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 405 of the Companies Act 1955, that A. C. Nielsen Ltd., duly incorporated in Delaware, U.S.A., and having its Head Office in New Zealand, at the Evening Post Building, Willis Street, Wellington, intends to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand on the expiration of three months from the date of publication of this notice.

The person authorised under section 397 of the Companies Act 1955 is Patrick A. Newton, of Evening Post Building, Willis Street, Wellington.

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 (six thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Amuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of two workers' dwellings, the said Amuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·047d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the Amuri County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Amuri County Council held on the 4th day of November 1960.

OTAMA RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otama Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the Otama Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of staff housing, the said Otama Rabbit Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·75d. per acre on all rateable land within the Otama Rabbit District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is paid off."

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL

AMENDED DECLARATION OF RESULT OF LOAN POLL

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 14 (2) of the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act 1958, that the result of the poll advertised in the Gazette, 15 December 1960, No. 83, page 1972, is amended and the under-mentioned declaration should be substituted therefor:

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the county towns of Porirua, Takapuwahia, and Titahi Bay, taken on the 3rd day of December 1960, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £30,000 to be known as the Porirua Community Hall Loan 1960 for the purpose of erecting a community hall at Porirua resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .... 293 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 275 The number of informal votes was ..... 80

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

WAIUKU BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the Borough of Waiuku was approved by the Council, by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 14th day of November 1960, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of January 1961.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council's office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

Dated at Waiuku this 13th day of December 1960.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.
