Alterations to the Scales of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government Railways

PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways hereby makes the following alterations to the General Scale of Charges made on the 21st day of May 1957 and published in the Supplement dated the 28th day of May 1957 to the New Zealand Gazette of the 23rd Day of May 1957, in force on the New Zealand Government Railways.

GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES
The following alterations to the General Scale of Charges shall come into force on the 3rd day of July 1961.

GOODS

  1. Classified Rates

Omit the present Schedule for Class M rates from 52 to 175 miles inclusive and substitute the following:

Regulation 76: Insert the following new paragraph:

1A. Computation of Charges—If wagons of livestock consigned to one station are on arrival at that station reconsined without being unloaded, railage charges will be computed on the through milage from the original forwarding station to the final destination station. Diversion charges provided in regulation 119 will also apply.
