Regulation 16: Omit this regulation, and substitute the following:

  1. Season Tickets for Young People Not Exceeding 21 Years of Age

  2. Young people's season tickets at two-thirds the rate for season tickets (regulation 14) will be issued to persons whose age at the commencement of availability of the ticket does not exceed 21 years, subject to the following conditions:

Application in the following form shall be lodged within a reasonable period prior to the time the ticket is required for use and the certificate of birth or certificate of date of birth duly endorsed with the applicant's signature produced for inspection:

I, (a) . . . . . . ., hereby certify that I reside at (b) . . . . . . ., and that my present age is (c) . . . . . . . years . . . . . . . months.

I hereby request that a (d) . . . . . . . -class (e) . . . . . . . season ticket at two-thirds rate available between (f) . . . . . . . and (f) . . . . . . . be issued to me in pursuance of the provision in that behalf contained in the General Scale of Charges.

I attach my birth certificate in support of this application.

(a) Insert full name of applicant.
(b) Insert place of residence.
(c) Insert age of applicant.
(d) Insert “first” or “second”.
(e) Insert “monthly”, “quarterly”, etc., as case may be.
(f) Insert station name.

Regulation 24, paragraph 2: Omit “or 36” from this paragraph.

Regulation 30, paragraph 2 (b): Omit “4” and “36” from this paragraph.

LOCAL FARES AND REGULATIONS

Regulations 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36: Omit these regulations, and substitute the following:

  1. Local Fares: General

Single and return tickets—1. Single and return tickets at the local fares specified in regulations 33, 34, and 35 will be issued from any station on one of the suburban lines specified to any other station on the same line. The tickets will have unlimited availability.

  1. Single and return tickets will also be issued from any station on one of the suburban lines to any station on a different line in the same suburban area, at the two appropriate local fares or at the regulation 2 fare on continuous milage, whichever is cheaper.

  2. Except where break of journey is necessitated by the train services, single or return tickets at local fares will not be available for break of journey.

Suburban 10-trip Tickets—4. Suburban 10-trip tickets, second class, available for 10 single journeys will be issuable within the points specified in regulations 33, paragraph 3, 34, paragraph 4, and 35, paragraph 2. The charges for such tickets will be in accordance with the scales shown therein.

  1. Suburban 10-trip tickets will not be issued between stations situated on different suburban lines.

  2. Suburban 10-trip tickets will be transferable and will have unlimited availability.

  3. Except where break of journey is necessitated by the train services, suburban 10-trip tickets will not be available for break of journey.

  4. One or two children four years of age and under 15 years of age travelling on an adult suburban 10-trip ticket will count as one adult and each additional one or two children will count as one adult.

  5. Where two or more passengers are travelling on one suburban 10-trip ticket such passengers must occupy seats in the same compartment or carriage.

  6. Holders of suburban 10-trip tickets will be charged the full first-class fare (regulation 2) when found travelling in first-class carriages.
