the benefit of the North Auckland Electric Power District,
and for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and
things which the Board is empowered to do by the
Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by
all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said North
Auckland Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate
of forty-six one hundredths of one penny (46/100d.) in the
pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the North
Auckland Electric Power District; and that the special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years or, until the loan is fully paid
off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Town Hall Improvement Loan 1960, £25,000—Special Rate
THAT, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000), to be
known as the Town Hall Improvement Loan 1960, £25,000,
which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland
City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose
of reimbursing general account by the sum of £11,000 for
expenditure on renovations and improvements to the Town
Hall and completing renovations and improvements to the
Town Hall with the balance of £14,000, and the cost of
raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths of one
penny (3/25 of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable
property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of
the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of the said loan or until the
loan is fully paid off.

OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage Loan 1961, £35,000
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £35,000, authorised to be raised by the Otahuhu
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of completing the sewer reticulation in the borough
and meeting associated costs, the said Otahuhu Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal two two five four pence
(·2254d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the rating district, comprising the whole
of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that the special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
That the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby appropriates
and pledges the foregoing rate as security for the said loan.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bridges Replacement Loan 1960, £60,000—Second Portion
£20,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £20,000, being second portion of above loan of
£60,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
renewing various bridges throughout the county, the said
Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal point nought seven one two four (·07124) pence in
the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County
of Rangitikei; and that such rate shall be annually recurring
during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly
on 15 August in each and every year until the loan is fully
repaid”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Rangitikei County Council held on the 8th day of June 1961.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of one hundred and seventy-one thousand seven
hundred pounds (£171,700) authorised to be raised by the
Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of improving the water supply of the borough,
the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
one penny and three hundred and fifty-five four hundredths
of a penny (1 355/400d.) in the pound (£) upon the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off”.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND TO CREATE
DRAINAGE EASEMENT FOR RIVER WORKS
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, to take for river works that land described in the
First Schedule hereto and to take an easement creating full
drainage rights over the land described in the Second Schedule.
A plan showing the land proposed to be taken and the land
over which the easement is to be created is available for
public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council,
Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40)
days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All
persons having well grounded objections to the above-mentioned
proposals are hereby called on to set forth their objections in
writing and to lodge the same in the office of the Council on
or before the 14th day of July 1961.

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the
Counties Act 1956.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Taranaki County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the improvement
of a public road being the Lower Mangorei Road, and for
the purpose of such public work the various lands described
in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
Notice is further given that a plan of the land so required
to be taken for road is deposited at the public office of the
Council situate at Robe Street, New Plymouth, and that
the plan is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
during office hours.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in
writing any well founded objections to the execution of such
works or the taking of such lands and to send such writing
to the Taranaki County Council, Robe Street, New Plymouth,
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.
