  4. All that piece of land containing sixty-two hundreds of a perch, being part of Lot 13 on D.P. 17686, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 867, folio 92, Auckland Registry.

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL


SECURITY RATE


Works and Services Loan 1961 of £49,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and any other powers thereunto it enabling, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £49,000 authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting its liability under the cost-sharing agreement with the Housing Division of the Ministry of Works for the development of the areas of the city known as the Jones, Mardon, and Oliver Blocks, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine hundredths of a penny (⁹/₁₀₀d.) in the pound on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly constituted meeting held on the 10th day of May 1961.

THE MINING ACT 1926


APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE


PURSUANT to the Mining Act 1926 Harry Clifton Poole, of Cromwell, motor-camp proprietor, hereby gives notice that he has applied for a licence for a water race as specified hereunder, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose by pegs bearing a mark “X”.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points, description of land traversed: Commencing in Brewery Creek on Crown leasehold of M. Spain approximately 7⅓ chains from boundary fence; thence approximately ⅔ of a chain to concrete tank; and thence by pipeline to Section 30, Block I, Cromwell Survey District.

Length and intended course of race: 8 chains of pipeline to concrete tank as existing at date of application.

Point of intake: One in Brewery Creek.

Mean depth and breadth: Pipeline 2 in.

Number of heads to be diverted: ¼ head.

Proposed term: 21 years.

The time and place appointed for the hearing of the application and all objections thereto is Wednesday, the 14th day of June 1961, at 10 a.m., in the Warden’s Court at Cromwell.

The application may be inspected at the Warden’s Court at Cromwell under No. 9/1961.

THE MINING ACT 1926


NOTICE is hereby given that, by application No. 18 of 1961, David Mackie Templeton, of Alberttown, blacksmith, will apply to the Warden’s Court at Cromwell, on the 14th day of June 1961, for a licence for a water race authorising the diversion of one head of water from Cameron’s Creek in the bed of the Cardrona River and terminating at a point about 20 chains from the confluence of the Cardrona River and the Clutha River below the boundary of Section 1, Block IV, Lower Wanaka District.

Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s Office, Cromwell, and notified to applicant at least three days before the date of hearing.
