Plant Declared Noxious Weed in County of Hauraki Plains
(Notice No. Ag. 7277)
Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Hauraki Plains County Council on the 10th day of May 1961.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, pursuant to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, to declare the following noxious weed, listed in the First Schedule of the said Act, to be a noxious weed in the County of Hauraki Plains.
Barley grass (Hordeum murinum).

(Notice No. Ag. 7280)
Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Cheviot County Council on the 12th day of May 1961.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and all other enabling powers vested in it, the Cheviot County Council, acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cheviot, hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants named in the Schedule hereto, being plants mentioned in the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, are noxious weeds as defined by that Act within the County of Cheviot.
SCHEDULE
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus). Common broom (Cytisus scoparius). Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare). Gorse (Ulex, any species). Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna). Hemlock (Conium maculatum). Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea). Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa). Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans). Lupin (Lupinus aboreus).

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act in County of Cheviot (Notice No. Ag. 7279)
Pursuant to section 22 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the Cheviot County Council on the 12th day of May 1961.
RESOLUTION
"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 22 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and all other enabling powers vested in it, the Cheviot County Council, acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cheviot, hereby resolves to assume responsibility for the administration of the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 from 14 April 1961."
