In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Smith and Gilbert Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 2nd day of March 1961, presented to the said Court by Clifford James Smith, of Gisborne, salesman; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Gisborne on the 2nd day of June 1961, at 10 a.m. and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the requested charge for the same.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of International Computers and Tabulators Ltd. INTERNATIONAL Computers and Tabulators Ltd., a company incorporated in England and having its registered office at 17 Park Lane, London W.1, and having a place of business in New Zealand, hereby gives notice of its intention to cease, as from the 4th day of August 1961, to have a place of business in New Zealand.

All business hitherto carried on in New Zealand by the above company will in future be carried on by International Computers and Tabulators (New Zealand) Ltd.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Raglan County Town Water Supply Loan 1961, £62,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £62,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying, laying, and fixing water mains and services, building a reservoir, and constructing pumping facilities for the supply of water within the Raglan County Town, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point three three nine of a penny (0·339d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on 24 April 1961.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvement Loan 1958, £10,000—Second Portion of £5,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other Acts and Powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, being the second portion of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958, £10,000, authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing new footpaths and culverts within the borough, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-one one-thousandths of a penny (0·041d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 26th day of April 1961.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1953, £100,000—Third Portion of £25,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Blenheim Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000), being the third portion of the Waterworks Loan 1953, £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing the spiral steel mains of the borough water supply reticulation system and for providing for works and expenses incidental thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and eighty-eight one-thousandths of a penny (0·188d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 26th day of April 1961.

THE MINING ACT 1926

TAKE notice that Winifred Mary Aitken, of Queenstown, widow, has made application for a licence for a water race, commencing in the Oxburn Creek three-quarters of a mile east of applicant's residence on Section 95, Block 2, Earnslaw Survey District, and thence running due west along the Oxburn Creek beach three-quarters of a mile terminating on applicant's freehold section, for the generating of electric power.
