A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS on the 31st day of October 1960 the General Assembly of New Zealand was summoned to a meeting on the 26th day of January 1961: And whereas for certain causes and consideration I have thought fit to prorogue it:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the New Zealand Constitution Act 1852, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby prorogue the General Assembly until Thursday, the 23rd day of March 1961, and summon it to meet at 2.30 p.m. on that day in the Parliament House in the City of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of January 1961.
