Amending Notice Relating to the Open Season for Game in Certain Acclimatisation Districts

THE MINISTER of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the notice published in Gazette, No. 22, of 29 March 1961, relating to the open season for game in certain acclimatisation districts is amended as follows:

  1. In that portion of the First Schedule which relates to the Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatisation District;

(a) by deleting the following closed game area:

(15) Section 6, Block I, Takahue Survey District, 6 acres 2 roods 30 perches; part Matthews Grant (Old Land Claim 193, Block I, Takahue Survey District); part D.P. 11347, Old Land Claim 193 of part D.P. 23300 of part Matthews Grant, Old Land Claim 193, 367 acres 3 roods 35 perches, Block I, Takahue Survey District. Present occupier: Eva W. Matthews.

and substituting:

(15) Section 6, Block I, Takahue Survey District, 6 acres 2 roods 30 perches; part Matthews Grant (Old Land Claim 193, Block I, Takahue Survey District); part D.P. 11347, Old Land Claim 193 of part D.P. 23300 of part Matthews Grant, Old Land Claim 193, 367 acres 3 roods 35 perches; Block I, Takahue Survey District. Present occupier: Kaitaia Anglican Church Farm.

(b) by deleting the following closed game area;

(16) All land on D.P. 26188 of part of Old Land Claim 193, Block I, Takahue Survey District. Present occupier: Kaitaia Anglican Church Farm.

and substituting;

(16) All land on D.P. 26188 of part of Old Land Claim 193, Block I, Takahue Survey District. Present occupier: R. T. King Estate.

  1. In that portion of the First Schedule which relates to the Rotorua Acclimatisation District;

(a) by deleting the following closed game area:

(18) Whakamahi. All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Block V, Clyde Survey District, containing by admeasurement 339 acres and 30 perches, being part Section 2, Block V, Clyde Survey District, and being also part of all the land in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 32, folio 93, except that taken for road and railway by Proclamations No. 1333 and No. 1337; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked M.D. 8549 deposited in the Head Office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

  1. In that portion of the First Schedule which relates to the South Canterbury Acclimatisation District;

(a) by adding the following closed game areas:

(17) The property of Mr G. E. Jones, “Willowbrook”, Ashwick Flat, Fairlie.

(18) The property of Mr W. T. Kitto, “Aylesbury Farm”, Seadown No. 3 R.D., Timaru.

(19) The golf links of the Glen-iti Golf Club (Inc.) at Glen-iti, Timaru.

(b) by deleting the following closed game area:

(12) The property of Mr G. D. P. Henderson, Totara Valley, Pleasant Point, containing 136 acres and 10 perches, being Lot 1, D.P. 14110, R.S. 37531, “Meadowvale”, Farm Settlement, Block III, Pareora Survey District.

and substituting:

(12) The property of Mr A. N. M. Izard, Totara Valley, Pleasant Point, containing 136 acres and 10 perches, being Lot 1, D.P. 14110, R.S. 37531, “Meadowvale”, Farm Settlement, Block III, Pareora Survey District.

Classification of Roads in Matamata County

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes so much of the Warrant dated the 1st day of June 1950† as relates to the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Matamata County Council’s proposed classification of the said roads as set out in the said Schedule.

Classification of Roads in Waimarino County

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the Waimarino County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto.

WAIMARINO COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class Two

MANGANUI Riding - Hikuhiku Road (from its junction with No. 4 State Highway (Te Kuiti - Wanganui via Raetihi) at Horopito to the junction of the said Hikuhiku Road with the Middle Road).

Huikumu Riding - Mangaeturoa North Road.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes so much of the Warrant dated the 1st day of June 1950† as relates to Portland Road, formerly known as the Otaika-Portland Main Highway, described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Whangarei County Council’s proposed classification of the said road as set out in the said Schedule.
