Customs Import Licensing Notice (No. 1) 1961

Pursuant to regulation 12 of the Import Control Regulations 1938,* as amended by the Import Control Regulations 1938, Amendment No. 2, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The 1961 Import Licensing Schedule is amended by the withdrawal of the "R" allocation from the items specified under the item codes enumerated in the Schedules numbered I and II hereto.

  2. In respect of the items specified in the 1961 Import Licensing Schedule under the item codes enumerated in Schedule I hereto, no further licences will be issued for the 1961 import licensing period except in special circumstances relating to prior orders.

  3. In respect of the items specified in the 1961 Import Licensing Schedule under the item codes enumerated in Schedule II hereto, the allocation is amended to "C".

  4. These amendments shall come into force on the 13th day of April 1961.

Establishment of Children’s Court Having Jurisdiction Within the North Island of New Zealand

Pursuant to the Child Welfare Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to establish a Children’s Court at Tokoroa to have jurisdiction within the North Island of New Zealand.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on part-time harvesting work for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SCHEDULE

Situated within Tauranga County at Bowentown: Seaforth Road from a point 17 chains south-east of its junction with Emerton Road to a point 58 chains measured in a north-westerly direction along the said Seaforth Road from the said junction.

Revoking a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring a Limited-speed Zone

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 6th day of August 1952* which relates to Fordell in Wanganui County is hereby revoked.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited-speed zone for the purpose of the Traffic Regulations 1956.†

SCHEDULE

Situated within Wanganui County at Fordell: That portion of the No. 2 Line from a point 8 chains west of its junction with Warrengate Road to a point 48 chains measured along the said No. 2 Line in an easterly direction from the said junction.
