WARKWORTH TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Extension Reticulation Loan 1960, £10,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Warkworth Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be raised by the Warkworth Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending sewerage reticulation in the town district, the said Warkworth Town Council hereby makes a special rate of point seven pence (.7d.) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Town District of Warkworth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Warkworth Town Council at a special meeting held on the 29th day of March 1961.

OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges Loan 1960, £22,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £22,000 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of finding Council’s share of the cost of renewing bridges on roads within the County of Otorohanga, excluding the Kawhia North Riding; namely, Collins, Hewletts, Perhams, Te Tahi, McCreadys, Kennedys, Jamiesons, Orahiri, Corrigans, Aotearoa, Waverley, and Puniu Bridges, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes a special rate of three-sixteenths pence (3d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Otorohanga, excluding the Kawhia North Riding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LAKE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lake County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £49,000 authorised to be raised by the Lake County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Wanaka Water-supply Area, the said Lake County Council hereby makes a special rate of one and one-half pence (1½d.) in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Wanaka Water-supply Area, comprising the whole of the Wanaka County Township and that part of the county adjoining the said township described as Sections 89 to 100 (inclusive), Block IX, Wanaka Town, and Sections 30 to 35 (inclusive), Block XIV, Lower Wanaka Survey District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of October and the 15th day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Lake County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Queenstown, on Tuesday, the 7th day of March 1961.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

Public notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the said Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for public inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

BOROUGH OF NORTHCOTE

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Change in the District Scheme

Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Northcote Borough Council made on the 14th day of March 1961, a change in the District Scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act. The proposed change relates to changes in the conditional uses relating to Commercial B Zones and Industrial B Zones set out in ordinance 9 of the Code of Ordinances.

Details of the proposed change have been deposited in the Council Office and War Memorial Library in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and are there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the proposed change or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 12 July 1961. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.
