Tariff Notice: Decision on Application for Approval

NOTICE is hereby given that the application notified in Tariff Notice 95* for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of

Felt for use in the manufacture of artificial limbs, splints, and similar surgical applications,

under item 155 (1) of the Customs Tariff, has been declined.

Tariff Notice: Application for Approval of the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 180 (7) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

Circular knitted cotton terry glove cloth for use in the manufacture of industrial work gloves.

The application will not be dealt with until 30 March 1961 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 30 March 1961.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for the classification, by determination of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 362 (6) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

Tubing, plastic, other than flexible, up to 1 in. internal diameter.

The application will not be dealt with until 30 March 1961 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 30 March 1961.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Te Arawa Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 15 September 1936 and published in the Gazette, No. 64, 1 October 1936, Volume III, page 1818.

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 19 November 1937 and published in the Gazette, 25 November 1937, Vol. III, page 2591.
