PURSUANT to section 2 of the Judicature Amendment Act 1930 the Right Honourable the Chief Justice has appointed:

The Honourable Mr Justice Shorland;

Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Wellington Appointed
PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Wellington for a term expiring on the 31st day of August 1961:

William Alexander McGarry, Sydney Allan Scotland, and Leonard Benjamin Smith (nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association Incorporated); and

Appointment of Additional Port in United Kingdom from Which Livestock for New Zealand Must be Shipped and Appointment of Veterinarians at Such Port to Examine Livestock for Shipment to New Zealand (Notice No. Ag. 7228)
It is hereby notified for general information that, in accordance with regulations under the Stock Act 1908 for the prevention of the introduction into New Zealand of diseases affecting stock, in addition to the places appointed on 27 April 1916,* and on 26 August 1920†, the following place has been appointed as a port in the United Kingdom from which the kinds of livestock mentioned may be shipped when intended for exportation to New Zealand.
Name of country: United Kingdom.
Kind of livestock: Dogs and cats.
Port appointed: Southampton.
It is further notified for general information that, in accordance with the regulations referred to above, the veterinarian appointed for the inspection of livestock intended for export from Southampton to New Zealand shall be any veterinarian nominated for the Port of Southampton by the High Commissioner for New Zealand at London.

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints
William Baker Parker
to be a member of the Ship Cove and Queen Charlotte Sound Reserve Board, Marlborough Land District, in place of Norman Gifford Parker, deceased, and further, increases the total number of members of the said Ship Cove and Queen Charlotte Sound Reserve Board from eight to nine and appoints
Maurice Edward Victor Spiers
as the additional member of the Board.
