OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing or erecting housing for staff and purchasing land incidental thereto, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one pence (0·1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Otamatea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Wednesday, 15 February 1961.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two three pence (0·23d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Otamatea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Wednesday, 15 February 1961.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,300 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a house and property at Paparoa, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six pence (0·06d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Otamatea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Wednesday, 15 February 1961.

Public notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin (hereinafter called “the said Corporation”) proposes, under the provisions of the abovementioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, to widen Carson Street in the City of Dunedin; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the land so required to be taken is all the land comprised in a separate lot shown on a plan deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the said Corporation.

SCHEDULE

That piece of land containing 3·8 poles, being Lots 2 and 3, Deposited Plan No. 8902, Glen Estate, and being part Section 68, Block VI, Town District, in the Land District of Otago.
