PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

Alexander John Russell,
Ronald Taylor,
John Roderick Warren, and
Peter Findley McKay Warren

to be the Taylorville Domain Board to have control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a public domain.

Appointment of Member of Cape Kidnapper Bird Sanctuary Board

to be a member of the Cape Kidnapper Bird Sanctuary Board, Hawke’s Bay Land District, in place of Donald Hillyer Brathwaite, resigned.

Revocation of Appointment and Appointment of Member of Bridal Veil Falls Scenic Reserve Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the member of the Raglan County Council representing the Whaingaroa Riding, ex officio, as a member of the Bridal Veil Falls Scenic Reserve Board, South Auckland Land District, and appoints

John Napier Newton

to be a member of the said Board in his place.

Approval of Bylaws Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the Bylaw No. 1 of the Panguru Tribal Executive under the provisions of section 34 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945.

BYLAWS OF THE PANGURU TRIBAL EXECUTIVE UNDER THE MAORI SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT ACT 1945

PURSUANT to the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Panguru Tribal Executive doth hereby make the following bylaws.

INTERPRETATION AND GENERAL

  1. These bylaws may be referred to as the Panguru Tribal Executive Bylaws No. 1 1959.

  2. In these bylaws, unless inconsistent with the context:

    “District” means the Panguru Tribal District.

    “Maori” means a person belonging to the aboriginal race of New Zealand and includes any person descended from a Maori.

    “Maori village” means a Maori village which has been declared to be such pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945.

    “Tribal Executive” means the Panguru Tribal Executive.

  3. Every notice under these bylaws shall be deemed duly served if handed to the person for whom it is intended, or if sent to him prepaid through the ordinary course of post addressed to him, or if left for him at his usual or last-named place of abode or business, or if affixed to some conspicuous part of any premises to which such notice relates.

  4. Any person who shall in any way, directly or indirectly, obstruct or hinder any member of the Tribal Executive or any duly authorised officer, servant, or agent of the Tribal Executive in the exercise of any powers, duties, or functions under these bylaws shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £10.
