Vesting a Reserve in the Marlborough County Council
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby vests the reserve described in the Schedule hereto in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Marlborough, in trust, for recreation purposes.

LOT 1, D.P. 2626, being part Section 8, District of Omaka, situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, subject to building-line restriction registered as No. 32446: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 34·6 perches, more or less.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Geraldine County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine and revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for planting purposes described in the Schedule hereto.

Time and Place of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Boards for the Patea and Stratford Fire Districts
Pursuant to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Tuesday, 28 February 1961, as the time, and the offices of the Wellington Fire and Accident Underwriters' Association, 97 The Terrace, Wellington, as the place, for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the fire insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect one member on the Fire Boards for the Patea and Stratford Fire Districts.

Pursuant to section 25 of the Stock Amendment Act 1956, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following extract from the register of systems of marking to be placed on stock for the purposes of the said section:

DESCRIPTION OF MARKING SYSTEM
“There shall be placed in either ear of the animal, by means of a tattoo, an identification number commencing at 1 each year for each breeder, the number being allocated to each animal in order of its birth, followed by 1, 2, or 3 alphabetical letters representing the herd brand of the breeder, followed by a numeral representing the year of birth of the animal.”

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in City of Gisborne

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Gisborne City Council on the 24th day of January 1961.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that the under-mentioned plant be a noxious weed within the City of Gisborne:
Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum)

Tariff Notice—Application for Approval of the Minister of Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 136 (4) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:
Gloves, tinsmiths’ (the glove is of fabric having a leather thumb and forefinger and leather palm).
The application will not be dealt with until 9 March 1961 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 9 March 1961.

- Tubing suited for surgical use.
- Air line hose (other than canvas reinforced high pressure rubber hose under ½ in. internal diameter).
- Suction and delivery hose 4½ in. internal diameter and under.
- Water hose braided.
- Dust extraction and ventilating hose.
- Oxy-acetylene hose (other than braided rubber hose under ½ in. internal diameter).
- Solvent hose and agricultural spray hose (other than braided or reinforced hose under ½ in. internal diameter).
- Petrol and oil resisting pressure tubing.
- Radiator hose, shaped or straight.
