Declaring Portions of Road in the Hobson County to be a County Road

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of February 1961
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
FIRST: All that portion of road situated in Block I, Kai-iwi Survey District, Hobson County, commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 21 and proceeding thence in a north-westerly and north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 42 chains and terminating at the northernmost corner of Section 23.
Secondly: All that portion of road situated in Block I, Kai-iwi Survey District, Hobson County, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 40, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 10 chains and terminating at the southernmost corner of Section 32.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 1978 (S.O. 42013) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B-C and D-E respectively.

Authorising the Construction of the Ngauranga - Basin Reserve Motorway

At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of February 1961
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a motorway commencing at a point on No. 2 State Highway north of Ngauranga and proceeding in a south-westerly direction on the seaward side of the Hutt Valley Railway line to Thorndon; thence east of and parallel to Tinakori Road to Bowen Street Cemetery; thence in a southerly direction through valley to the west of the Terrace and by tunnel to Ghuznee Street and Buller Street; thence in a south-easterly direction to Arthur Street, Buckle Street, and terminating at the Basin Reserve at Sussex Street; and on the general line indicated in blue on the plan marked M.O.W. 1860 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Abolition of the Rangitaiki Rural Fire District

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby abolishes the Rangitaiki Rural Fire District and revokes the order constituting that district made on the 7th day of February 1950, and published in the Gazette in 1950, Volume I, page 175.

Abolition of the Cobb River Rural Fire District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby abolishes the Cobb River Rural Fire District and revokes the order constituting that district made on the 24th day of November 1948, and published in the Gazette in 1948, Volume III, page 1481.

The Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Order 1948, Amendment No. 4

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Order 1948, Amendment No. 4, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Order 1948* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

The principal order may hereinafter be cited as the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District Order 1948.

The principal order is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto, and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this order.

The Order in Council amending the constitution of the Kaingaroa Rural Fire District published in the Gazette of 1958, Volume II, page 624, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SCHEDULE to be substituted for the Schedule to the principal order:
“SCHEDULE
“South Auckland Land District (Rotorua Conservancy)—Kaingaroa Rural Fire District
“ALL that area in Taupo, Rotorua, and Whakatane Counties, containing approximately 602,000 acres, situated in Tarawera, Ruawahia, Rangitaiki Lower, Paeroa, Kaingaroa, Galatea, Takapau, Wheao, Ahikereru, Tauhara, Otukotara, Heruiwi, Waitahanui, Maruanui, and Runanga Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point on the western boundary of Matahina D Block, being 10 chains distant from the north-western corner of the said block; thence in a south-easterly direction by a line 10 chains distant from Matahina A 1b Block to the Rangitaiki River; thence proceeding generally southward along the left bank of the Rangitaiki River to the south-western boundary of the Murupara Town District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid town district to a point situated 40 chains eastward of the right bank of the Rangitaiki River; thence generally southward along a line parallel to and situated 40 chains to the eastward of the right banks of the Rangitaiki and Wheao Rivers to the Mangaretu Stream; thence southward along the said stream and the eastern boundaries of Heruiwi No. 4A, Nos. 2 and 1, to Trig. Station Tiritiri; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Heruiwi No. 4A, No. 1; thence southward and westward along the eastern and southern boundaries of Pukahunui No. 2 to an angle in the boundary about 80 chains north-west of a road; thence westward along a straight line for a distance of about 90 chains to Trig. Station No. 52 (Kokomoka) in Block XIII, Heruiwi Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along a straight line to Trig. Station No. 50 (Omeruiti) in Block VII, Maruanui Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along a straight line to Trig. Station 48A in Block VI, Maruanui Survey District; thence along a straight line to Trig. Station Wairangi in Block VII, Waitahanui Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along a straight line between Trig. Station Wairangi aforesaid, and Trig. Station No. 45 in Block XIII, Tauhara Survey District, to and across the National Park - Taupo State Highway; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western side of the said State highway and the Hinemaiai Stream to the shore of Lake Taupo; thence in a northerly direction generally along the shore of the said lake to the southern
