PART IV—AMENDMENTS TO THE CUSTOMS TARIFF OF NEW ZEALAND
(A.) The following notes are to be added to Tariff item 192:
NOTES—(1) The following yarns have been exempted from payment of primage duty or surtax on declaration by a manufacturer that they will be used by him only in the manufacture of the article mentioned:
(i) Yarns of cotton for use in the manufacture of sewing cottons, or of tubular woven or knitted cotton cloth specially suited for use as meat wraps.
(ii) Yarns of cotton, silk, man-made fibres, or mixtures of the foregoing, for use in the manufacture of elastics, tape, webbings, or petershams, or of woven labels for apparel or for similar articles.
(iii) Yarns of rayon for use in the manufacture of warp-knit fabrics.
(2) Cotton yarn has been exempted from primage duty on declaration by a manufacturer that it will be used by him only in the manufacture of electrodes for electric welding.
(The above exemptions are effective from 22 July 1960.)
(B.) Table of Excise Duties.
Add the following:
