HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Raglan County Council stopping the portions of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

Special Provision Touching the Election of a Member to
the Taitokerau Maori Trust Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of
December 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 55 of the Maori Trust Boards Act 1955,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, and being
satisfied that sufficient provision is not made by or under
Part III of the said Act to meet the circumstances where two
candidates, namely, Hopa Paraone and Louis Edmund Hobson,
each, according to a certain declaration made by the Returning-
Officer on the 25th day of October 1960, received the
same number of votes (such number being higher than the
number of votes validly cast for any of the other candidates)
in the election held for the appointment of one member of
the Taitokerau Maori Trust Board to represent the Te
Aupouri and Rarawa divisions of the beneficiaries, doth hereby
make the following provision for the case, that is to say:
(1) The Returning Officer shall determine, by lot, which
of the two candidates, Hopa Paraone and Louis
Edmund Hobson, shall be deemed to have been
elected:
(2) Each of the two candidates aforesaid shall each be
entitled to appoint one scrutineer to be present when
the said determination is made by the Returning
Officer.

Adding Land to the Egmont National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of
December 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from
the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Egmont
National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered,
and dealt with by the Egmont National Park Board in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
LOT 2, D.P. 8649, being part Section 4, Block XI, Cape
Survey District; and Section 16 (formerly part Section 5),
Block XI, Cape Survey District. Total area, 440 acres 1 rood

Exempting Land in the South Auckland Land District from
the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925
COBHAM, Governor-General
PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE
THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 37 acres 1 rood 6 perches,
more or less, being Allotment 263 of the Parish of Pepepe,
and being formerly Lot 2 of Allotment 211 of the Parish of
Pepepe, and being all the land in certificate of title, Volume
666, folio 169 (Auckland Land Registry).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 5th day of December 1960.

Fisheries Licensing Appeal Authority

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Fisheries Amendment Act
1945, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints
Wilfred Fosberry Stilwell, Esquire,
a Judge of the Arbitration Court, to be the Sea Fisheries
Licensing Appeal Authority for a term of three years com-
mencing on the date of these presents.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 9th day of December 1960.
