RANGITIKEI CATCHMENT BOARD

SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND GARAGE LOAN 1959

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“'That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand five hundred pounds (£13,500) authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting an administrative office and a garage, the said Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought six pence (·006d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the said Board's district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Extension and Reinforcement Loan (1958) £368,000—Second Instalment £150,000 (Portion £20,000):

Mr White moved; Mr Jonkers seconded:

That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively and all other powers it enabling, the Board hereby resolves as follows:

“'That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of interest and yearly instalments of principal and other charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Acts in order to provide additional moneys for the purpose of extending and reinforcing the supply of electricity within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4/1000ths of a 1d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the Gazette dated 18 October 1923 and amended by Proclamations appearing in the Gazettes dated 27 November 1924, 26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, and 14 April 1954; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”—Carried.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Waitemata Electric Power Board.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the following land requires to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that is to say: All that piece of land containing 17·9 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 97 of the Parish of Ngaroto and part of the land comprised in Volume 571, folio 226, of the Register Book at Auckland.

A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of the Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the said Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for public inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council, in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.
