PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950,
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers,
resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand
Army:

COLONELS' LIST

Regular Force

Colonel R. B. Dawson, D.S.O., to be temp. Brigadier. Dated
11 January 1960.

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Regular Force

Major R. H. F. Holloway to be temp. Lieutenant-Colonel.
Dated 22 December 1959.
Lieutenant N. McK. Sandman to be Captain. Dated 23
December 1959.

Territorial Force
3rd Field Regiment, RNZA

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) M. R. Graveston, B.A., is transferred
to the Regular Force for service with the N.Z. Army
Education Corps. Dated 2 January 1960.

5th Light Regiment, RNZA

2nd Lieutenant G. C. Barnett to be Lieutenant. Dated 13
October 1959.

Territorial Force

The Waikato Regiment, RNZAC

Lieutenant Peter Derald Petherbridge is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Armoured
Corps, in the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 9 November 1959.

The New Zealand Scottish Regiment, RNZAC

Lieutenant I. B. Blair is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Regimental List, The New Zealand Scottish Regiment,
RNZAC, in his present rank and seniority. Dated 20
December 1959.

CH.B., D.PH., relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant
Director of Army Health, Headquarters, Northern Military
District, and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 31 December

Lieutenant W. C. Shirer, M.B., CH.B., "W" Coy., resigns
his commission. Dated 28 September 1959.
Robin Wayne Carrell, M.B., CH.B., to be Lieutenant (on

Brian Charles McCluskey, M.B., CH.B., to be Lieutenant (on

ENGINEERS

Regular Force

Major and Quartermaster Colin Edwin Chetwin is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Corps of
Royal N.Z. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, in the rank
of Major and Quartermaster. Dated 16 January 1960.

Captain and Quartermaster J. M. Carmichael is re-engaged
for a term of one year as from 6 January 1960.

12th Heavy Anti-aircraft Regiment Workshop, RNZEME

2nd Lieutenant P. T. Saxon resigns his commission on
enlistment in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Dated 4

from the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal
N.Z. Chaplains Department, to be Chaplain 3rd Class (temp.
