NOTICE is hereby given that the application notified in Tariff Notice No. 10* for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of
Industrial work gloves
under item 136 (4) (a) of the Customs Tariff has been declined.

Tariff Notice—Application for Approval of the Minister of Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of the under-mentioned goods under item 192 (1) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:
(1) Spun fibre yarns for the manufacture of underwear.
(2) Spun nylon yarn for the manufacture of socks and half hose.
(3) Rayon yarn for the manufacture of carpets.
The applications will not be dealt with until 24 November 1960 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 24 November 1960.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Wanganui
(Notice No. Ag. 7141)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Wanganui County Council on the 14th day of October 1960.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and amendments thereto, the Wanganui County Council hereby, by way of special order, declares that the plant named in the Schedule hereto to be a noxious weed within the whole of the County of Wanganui as from the 1st day of December 1960.

SPECIAL ORDER
UNDER authority of section 3, Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Raglan County Council resolves by way of special order that
Barley grass (Hordeum murinum)
be declared a noxious weed within the County of Raglan as from the 2nd day of November 1960.
