Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the members of the Aitanga-a-Mahaki tribe and the present beneficial owners of the land and their descendants.

PURSUANT to section 13 (1) (a) of the Public Service Amendment Act 1927, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Thomas Pound, retired public servant, to be a member of the Public Service Board of Appeal for a term of six months commencing on the 17th day of October 1960.

Appointment of Officer Authorised to Attest the Signatures of Maoris
PURSUANT to sections 222 and 464 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint John William Lewin, Clerk, Palmerston North, being an officer in the service of the Crown employed by the Department of Maori Affairs in the position set out opposite his name, as an officer authorised to attest the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land and to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act 1924.

Appointment of Members of the Auroa War Memorial Hall Board
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints Albert Bishop Blackbourn, and Athol John Christie Muir to be members of the Auroa War Memorial Hall Board, Taranaki Land District, in place of Reginald Johnstone Duff and Stephen William Bailey, who have resigned.

Declaration that a Reserve be the Bainham Domain and Appointment of Domain Board
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to be known as the Bainham Domain and further appoints:
