Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work at Mount Rex and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 25th day of October 1960.

0 1 32·4 Part railway land in Proclamation 3802; coloured orange.

Both situated in Block X, Kaipara Survey District, Waitemata County. (S.O. 42151.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 16701 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Closely Populated Localities Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That Warrant, under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 5th day of December 1955* which relates to Ruatoria in Waiapu County is hereby revoked.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waiapu County at Ruatoria: The Mangakino-Waiomatatini road from a point 5 chains measured in a northerly direction from its junction with Tuparoa Road to a point 3 chains measured in a south-westerly direction from the junction of the Mangakino-Waiomatatini road with Mangaharei Street.
Tuparoa Road from its junction with the Mangakino-Waiomatatini road to a point 38 chains measured in an easterly direction from the said junction.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SITUATED within Wairoa County at Frasertown: No. 38 State Highway (Waiotapu-Wairoa via Waikaremoana) from its junction with Russell Parade North to the junction of the said State highway with the No. 36 State Highway (Gisborne-Frasertown via Tiniroto).

SITUATED within Bruce County adjacent to Milton Borough: Villa Road from the south-eastern boundary of Milton Borough to the junction of the said road with Killingholme Street.
Leman Street from its junction with Killingholme Street to a point 3 chains measured in a south-easterly direction from the said junction.
Killingholme Street for a distance of 3 chains either side of the junction of the said street with Villa Road.
