Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Revocation of Approval to Issue Warrants of Fitness

Pursuant to subclause (3) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the approval of the firm described in the Schedule hereto to issue warrants of fitness for motor vehicles.

Time and Place of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancy on the Fire Board for the North Shore United Urban Fire District

Pursuant to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Tuesday, 27 September 1960, as the time, and the offices of the Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, Victoria Arcade, Auckland, as the place, for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect one member for the Fire Board for the North Shore United Urban Fire District.

Declaration of Result of Election of Potato Growers' Representative on the Potato Board

I, Neil John McHugh, Returning Officer of the Potato Board Election, do hereby declare that William John Fletcher, being the only person nominated to represent the Southern Ward on the Potato Board, is elected a member of the Board as from the 24th day of September 1960.

Fixing the Rates of Levy to be Charged on Wool for Season Commencing 1 October 1960

Pursuant to section 12 of the Wool Industry Act 1944, the New Zealand Wool Board hereby fixes the following rates of the levy to be charged on all wool which is produced in New Zealand and which, during the season commencing on the 1st day of October 1960, is exported from New Zealand or is delivered to a wool manufacturer for use in New Zealand:

(c) For each bag or sack 0 8

Alteration of Boundaries, County of Heathcote and City of Christchurch (Time and Place for Hearing Appeal)

Pursuant to section 34 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, it is hereby notified that the Local Government Appeal Authority has fixed 10.30 a.m. on Friday, 21 October 1960, as the time, and the Magistrate’s Court, Christchurch, as the place for the hearing of the appeal which has been made by the Heathcote County Council against the final reorganisation scheme of the Local Government Commission, dated 27 April 1960, providing for the area described in the Schedule to that scheme to be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch.

This notice is in substitution for the notice dated the 1st day of September 1960 and published in Gazette, 1 September 1960, page 1324, notifying the time and place for hearing this appeal.
