CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957

In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the
matter of the estate of William Colenso, late of Napier,
in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, New Zealand,
Clerk in Holy Orders, now deceased.

PURSUANT to section 54 of the above Act, notice is hereby
given that a scheme, under section 36 of the above Act,
prepared and filed by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of
the City of Napier (hereinafter referred to as “the Corporation”)
in the office of the Supreme Court at Napier,
providing—

(a) variation of the disposition under the will of the said
deceased of the income on the sum of £500
bequeathed to the Corporation by the deceased
whereby the deceased provided for such income to be
used as a fund for assisting poor distressed seamen
and strangers in want;
(b) variation of the disposition under the will of the said
deceased of the income on the sum of £500
bequeathed to the Corporation by the deceased,
whereby the deceased provided for such income to be
used as a fund for purchasing prizes to be distributed
to the successful scholars at the public Government
schools at Napier, as varied by an order of the
Supreme Court at Napier dated the 10th day of
July 1944, to provide free library subscriptions for
scholars at the public Government schools of Napier
who were in each year promoted to Standard IV;
was on this 19th day of August 1960 duly approved by the
Supreme Court of New Zealand.

no longer carrying on its operations, the aforesaid society is
