PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Berwick Rabbit District Order 1960.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.. - The boundaries of the Berwick Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 21st day of January 1952,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE BERWICK RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Bruce, Taieri, and Tuapeka, and Borough of Mosgiel, containing 75,840 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station “Maungatua” in Section 13, Block XIV, Maungatua Survey District, and proceeding due east along a right line to the western boundary of Section 12, Block XIV aforesaid; thence generally northerly along that western boundary and generally north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Section 24, Block XI, Maungatua Survey District, to the northernmost corner of that section; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. O in Section 22, Block XI aforesaid; thence due north to the southern side of McHendry Road; thence generally easterly along the southern side of that road and its production to the north-western corner of Section 14, Block IX, Maungatua Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner
of Section 12, Block IX aforesaid; thence generally north-westerly along the north-eastern side of No. 87 State Highway (Mosgiel-Kyeburn) to the south-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block IX aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary and its production to the middle of Traquair Burn; thence generally easterly and southerly down the middle of that burn and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block I, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that north-eastern boundary to the northernmost corner of Section 9, Block I aforesaid; thence south-easterly and southerly along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of that section and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-western boundary of Section 2 of 28, Block I aforesaid; thence south-westerly along that boundary and the north-western boundary of Section 1 of 28 to its most westerly corner; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of the said Section 1 of 28 and Section 1 of 27, Block I aforesaid, and the production of that south-western boundary to the north-western corner of Section 78, Irregular Block, East Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that section to the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 6188; thence south-easterly, north-easterly, and south-easterly along the south-western, south-eastern and again south-western boundaries of that lot to the Muirs Halfway Bush Road; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that road to the north-eastern side of Gordon Road; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of that road to the southernmost corner of Section 12, Block VI, East Taieri Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that section and its production to the south-eastern boundary of Section 11, Block VI aforesaid; thence north-easterly along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 10, 14, 16, 8, 7, and Closed Road, Block VI aforesaid, and Lot 1, D.P. 9314, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the southernmost corner of Section 10, Block V, East Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of the Otago Central Railway and its production to the south-eastern side of Gladstone Road; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of that road, the crossing of a railway, and again the south-eastern side of that road to the northernmost corner of Section 25, Irregular Block, East Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that section and Lot 6, Deeds Plan 164, to No. 87 State Highway (Mosgiel-Kyeburn); thence generally southerly along the eastern side of that highway to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 9730; thence south-westerly along a right line, being the production of the south-eastern boundary of that lot, to the south-western side of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff); thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the south-western and south-eastern sides of that highway to a point in line with the south-western side of Riccarton Road; thence north-westerly to and along the south-western side of that road to the south-eastern side of the South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern side of that railway to the north-eastern boundary of River Section 22, East Taieri Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the south-eastern bank of the Taieri River; thence generally south-westerly along that bank and its production to the middle of the Taieri River on the northern boundary of Clarendon Survey District; thence generally westerly along the northern boundary of that survey district and the southern boundary of Maungatua Survey District to the north-western boundary of Block XXI, Waihola Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along that boundary to the south-eastern shore of Lake Waihola; thence generally south-easterly along that shore to the south-western boundary of Block X, Waihola Survey District; thence north-westerly along that south-western boundary to the north-western side of Clarendon-Berwick road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to the north-eastern side of the Clarendon-Circle Hill road; thence generally north-westerly along the north-eastern side of that road to the western boundary of Section 29, Block VIII, Clarendon Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary and the western boundary of Section 28 and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the western boundary of Section 15, Block VIII aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary and its production to the western boundary of Section 16, Block VIII aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary and the western boundaries of Sections 57, 56, and 47, Block IX, Clarendon Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 14, Block IX aforesaid; thence westerly along that boundary and its production to the southern boundary of Section 6, Block IX aforesaid; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Block X, Table Hill Survey District; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that block to the western boundary of Block X, Waipori Survey District; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of that block to the middle of the Waipori River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Run 51A, Waipori Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to the point of commencement.
