Where it is indicated in the column headed “British Preferential” that surtax is payable, such surtax relates only to goods being the produce or manufacture of Canada, Pakistan, Union of South Africa, India, and the Republic of Ireland.
The letter “S” beside a rate of duty means that the duty also applies to goods that are the produce or manufacture of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
