Ahipara Beach Township Special Subdivision, Kaitaia Drainage Area—Notice of Intention to Make and Levy Special Rates

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1948, to make and levy on the unimproved value of all land within the Ahipara Beach Township Special Subdivision of the Kaitaia Rural Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area, the annually recurring special rates described in the Schedule hereto, such rates being for the repayment of moneys expended on the construction of drainage works in the said Ahipara Beach Township Special Subdivision, together with interest thereon.

The amount of such rates will be payable on 30 August in each year.

The valuation roll and the rate book of the Kaitaia Rural Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Second Floor, Customs Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Lands and Survey Department, Kaitaia, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

CLASS A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the person appointed to classify the lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, two pence and nineteen one-hundredths of a penny (2·19d.) in the pound.

Authorisation of the Exchange of a Reserve for Other Land

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby authorises the exchange of the reserve for recreation purposes described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Manukau County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Manukau, in trust, for that purpose.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Marlborough County Council and Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Marlborough and changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for resting-place for travelling stock to a reserve for recreation purposes.
