NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Richmond Development Loan No. 2, 1959, of £45,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Napier City
Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £45,000 (forty-five thousand pounds)
authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of
Council's share of the cost of developing Maraenui Block
and the reconstruction of Riverbend Road, the said Napier City
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one
six one (0·161) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property within the City of Napier; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable on the 31st day of July in each
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

BOROUGH OF TAKAPUNA
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953 AND AMENDMENTS
An application has been received by the Takapuna Borough
Council from Mr W. N. Dymock, of 50 Anzac Street, Taka-
puna, owner of part Lot 45, D.P. 4553, also Lot 3, D.P.
37816, of Allotment 71, Parish of Takapuna, Taharoto Road,
Takapuna, for consent under section 38 of the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953, as enacted by section 26 of the
Town and Country Planning Amendment Act 1957, to change
the character of use of the land described as part Lot 45,
D.P. 4553, of Allotment 71, Parish of Takapuna, Taharoto
Road, Takapuna, for the purpose of erecting thereon a build-
ing of an area of 9,024 sq. ft. constructed with foundations of
concrete, walls concrete columns and vibrapac blocks, and roof
portal frame and corrugated iron to be used for light industrial
purposes.
Any person wishing to object to this proposal should lodge
an objection, in writing, addressed to the Town Clerk, Taka-
puna by 4 p.m. on the 8th day of August 1960 stating therein
the grounds of objection, whether the objector wishes to be
heard by the Bylaws and Town Planning Committee of the
Council in regard to his objection, and giving an address for
service.

BOROUGH OF MOSGIEL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and
of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mosgiel Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, provision for street
widening on the eastern side of Factory Road in the Borough
of Mosgiel between Gordon Road and Church Street; and for
the purposes of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby
further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken
is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said
Council, situate at No. 99 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, and is
open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing
and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of
this notice to the office of the Mosgiel Borough Council at
the Council Chambers, No. 99 Gordon Road, Mosgiel.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD IN
BLOCK XLIV, EYRE SURVEY DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council
proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
to carry out certain road works, and for that purpose the
piece of land described in the Schedule hereto is required to
be taken for road.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the
Southland County Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill, and is
there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the
execution of such works or to the taking of such land should,
if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of
such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing
within 40 days from the date of this notice (being the date
of the first publication thereof) to the Southland County
Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated in the Eyre Survey District
containing 4 acres 1 rood 3·5 poles, more or less, being
Lot 1 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Inver-
cargill as No. 1836, being also part of Section 3, Block XLIV,
of the said district, being all the land comprised in certificate
of title, Volume 110, folio 154, Southland Registry.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME: PAIHIA SECTION
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Bay
of Islands County, Pahia Section, was approved by the Council
by resolution passed at its meeting on the 22nd day of June
1960 after all objections relating to the scheme had been
disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to
all objections allowed.
The Council also resolved that the scheme shall come into
operation on the 1st day of September 1960.
Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in
the Council's office at Kawakawa and may be inspected
without fee by any person who so requires at any time when
the office is open to the public.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of
Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter
of a Private Bill to amend the Church of England Trusts
Act 1913.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the under-
signed to present a petition to the House of Representatives,
in Parliament assembled, for leave to bring in a Bill under
the Short Title of "The Church of England Trusts Amend-
ment Act 1960" during the ensuing session of Parliament to
commence on the 22nd day of June 1960.
The objects of the Bill are:
(1) To confer upon incorporated Diocesan Boards of Trus-
tees the same powers of selling, exchanging, mortgaging, and
leasing lands conveyed directly to them by donors or vendors
as they have under sections 8 and 9 of the Church of England
Trusts Act 1913, and its amendments (namely the Church of
England Trusts Amendment Act 1937 and the Church of Eng-
land Trusts Amendment Act 1945) in respect of lands originally
conveyed to other trustees and later transferred to incorporated
Diocesan Boards of Trustees.
(2) To confer upon the Standing Committee of the Diocese
of Wellington power to appoint trustees of the Wellington
Diocesan Maori Endowment Trust Board when the Synod
of the Diocese of Wellington is not in session.
The promoters of the Bill are Herbert Edgar Evans,
of Wellington, barrister, Edward Westwood Henderson, of
Auckland, barrister, Wybrants Olphert, of Wellington,
barrister, and Stuart Tichborne Campbell Sprott, of Welling-
ton, diocesan secretary, being the members of a commission set
up by the Standing Committee of the Church of the Province
of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England,
with power to promote a Bill having the objects above set
forth.
The address to which communications or notices to the
promoters may be sent and at which a copy of the Bill may
be inspected is the Diocesan Office, 20 Mulgrave Street, in
the City of Wellington.
