Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 11th day of July 1960.

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 3rd day of May 1960, subject as to the land first and secondly described to the restriction as to the building line imposed by special order No. 157178, Southland Land Registry, and as to the land thirdly described to the restriction as to the building line imposed by Order in Council No. 2436, Southland Land Registry.

Constituting a Recognised Aviation Authority

Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act 1929, the Minister of Defence hereby recognises, for the purposes of that Act, the under-mentioned aviation authority:

New Plymouth Borough Council, New Plymouth.

The notice, pursuant to section 3 of the above Act, which appears in Gazette, No. 80, 28 November 1929, at page 3071, is hereby amended by deleting the words:

“New Plymouth Aero Club (New Plymouth)”.

Scheme of Control of Tawa College

Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Tawa College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published in the Gazette of 6 December 1928, Volume III, page 3451:

Provided that:

(a) Clause 7 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Council of the nearest borough within five miles of the school” were omitted, and the words “Tawa Borough Council” were substituted therefor:

(b) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Such election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1929” were omitted, and the words “The first such election shall be held not later than the first week in the month of May in the year 1961, and such an election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1963” were substituted therefor:

(c) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if the clause numbered 13A, set out in the Schedule hereto, were inserted after clause 13:

(d) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to the year 1963:

(e) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 43 were revoked, and the clause numbered 43 set out in the Schedule hereto were substituted therefor.
