NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves by way
of special order to make and levy a consolidated special rate
of twopence halfpenny (2½d.) in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the City of New Plymouth, such consolidated
special rate to be in lieu of any special rates made and levied
before the date of this resolution whether over the whole
City of New Plymouth or over any defined portion or portions thereof, to provide for interest and other charges on
the under-mentioned loans and that such consolidated special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and be due and payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until
the said loans are fully paid off.

WHANGAROA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter
of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangaroa County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the excavation of
a metal quarry; and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing
and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first
publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Leigh Street, Kaeo.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 2 acres 1 rood 16 perches, more or less, situated in the Whangaroa Survey District, being part Totara No. 1 and numbered 3309A, and being all the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 42, folio 255, Auckland Registry.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the
Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Timaru City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a
certain public work, namely, the formation and construction of a
public street off the eastern side of Barnes Street in the City of
Timaru, the centre line of such street to be approximately 740 links
from the southern side of Wai-iti Road in the said City and to contain an area of approximately one (1) rood six and seven-tenths
(6.7) perches, and for the purpose of such public work the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required
to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council, situated in King George’s Place, Timaru, and
is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill to amend the Church of England Trusts Act 1913.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the undersigned to present a petition to the House of Representatives, in Parliament assembled, for leave to bring in a Bill under the Short Title of “The Church of England Trusts Amendment Act 1960” during the ensuing session of Parliament to commence on the 22nd day of June 1960.
The objects of the Bill are:
(1) To confer upon incorporated Diocesan Boards of Trustees the same powers of selling, exchanging, mortgaging, and leasing lands conveyed directly to them by donors or vendors as they have under sections 8 and 9 of the Church of England Trusts Act 1913, and its amendments (namely the Church of England Trusts Amendment Act 1937 and the Church of England Trusts Amendment Act 1945) in respect of lands originally conveyed to other trustees and later transferred to incorporated Diocesan Boards of Trustees.
(2) To confer upon the Standing Committee of the Diocese of Wellington power to appoint trustees of the Wellington Diocesan Maori Endowment Trust Board when the Synod of the Diocese of Wellington is not in session.
The promoters of the Bill are Herbert Edgar Evans, of Wellington, barrister, Edward Westwood Henderson, of Auckland, barrister, Wybrants Olphert, of Wellington, barrister, and Stuart Tichborne Campbell Sprott, of Wellington, diocesan secretary, being the members of a commission set up by the Standing Committee of the Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England, with power to promote a Bill having the objects above set forth.
The address to which communications or notices to the promoters may be sent and at which a copy of the Bill may be inspected is the Diocesan Office, 20 Mulgrave Street, in the City of Wellington.
