UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Storm-water Drainage Loan 1960 of £160,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £160,000 authorised to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of general storm-water drainage works over the whole of the Borough of Upper Hutt, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine hundred and forty-four thousandths of a penny in the pound (0·944d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the loan is fully repaid.”
The forgoing resolution was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council, held in the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Monday, the 23rd day of May 1960.

PAPARUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Denton Park (Hornby) Development Loan 1960, £12,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paparua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000 to be known as the Denton Park (Hornby) Development Loan 1960 authorised to be raised by the Paparua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of additional development of Denton Park, Hornby, the said Paparua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0573d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) on all rateable properties comprised within the boundaries of the Hornby County Town; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Rural Housing Loan (No. 4) 1960
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other Acts in that behalf enabling, the Wallace County Council has resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 to be known as the Rural Housing Loan (No. 4) 1960 of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Wallace County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·02d. in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property of the County of Wallace; and that such special rate shall be annually recurring during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan and until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF NEWMARKET

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
——
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Newmarket Borough Council made on the 16th day of March 1960, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the whole of the Borough of Newmarket. The scheme has been deposited in the Town Clerk’s office, 174 Broadway, Newmarket, and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above place is open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 12 noon on Friday, 30 September 1960. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ABANDON SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE
——
PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Franklin, taken on the 21st day of May 1960, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said County on the unimproved value be abandoned:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,453.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2,209.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
