PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 30th day of May 1960.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provision of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for forestry purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Featherston and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—County of Manawatu
NOTICE is hereby given that, as the Manawatu County Council now intends to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme in one unit, the approval granted, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, on 27 April 1956, to prepare, recommend, and approve the scheme by six sections, as described in Gazette, No. 66, 29 November 1956, page 1703, is hereby cancelled.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Auckland Regional Planning Authority and Region
PURSUANT to section 7 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, the Minister of Works hereby notifies as follows:

That the Minister approves the resolutions made by the Pukekohe Borough Council on 17 February 1960 and by the Auckland Regional Planning Authority on 26 February 1960 resolving that the Borough of Pukekohe be added to the Auckland Planning Region.

That the area described in the Third Schedule to the notice dated the 12th day of February 1957, published in Gazette, 14 February 1957, Volume I, page 218, is hereby deleted.

That the area to be comprised in the Auckland Planning Region shall be that described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
DEFINITION of the area comprised in the Auckland Planning Region:
All that area lying between the northern boundary of the County of Rodney and the southern boundary of the County of Franklin including the Waiheke Road District.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Gisborne City: Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Gisborne City Council in the interests of the Gisborne City district scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of May 1961 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of May 1961.

Scheme of Control of Kapiti College
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Kapiti College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published in the Gazette of 6 December 1928, Volume III, page 3451:
Provided that:
(a) Clause 7 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Council of the nearest borough within 5 miles of the school” were omitted, and the words “Hutt County Council” were substituted therefor;
(b) Clause 8 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the word “Town” were omitted:
