Balclutha—
No. 1 State Highway. From the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Balclutha, along Clutha Street, Hasborough Place, Clutha River bridge, River Terrace, and Clyde Street to the south-western boundary of the borough.
No. 92 State Highway. From the intersection of Renfrew Street and Clyde Street, along Renfrew Street, Douglas Street, Baxter Street, and Stewart Street; thence along the street between Blocks VIII and XI, crossing the Catlins Branch Railway and thence along the right bank of the Koau Branch of the Clutha River to the southern boundary of the borough.
Blenheim
No. 1 State Highway. From the northern boundary of the Borough of Blenheim, along Grove Road, Sinclair Street, High Street bridge, Bradford Quay, Redwood Street, and Main Street to the southern boundary of the Borough of Blenheim.
No. 6 State Highway. From the corner of High Street and Bradford Quay, along High Street, Boyce Street, and Middle Renwick Road to the western boundary of the Borough of Blenheim.
Bluff—
No. 1 State Highway. From the north-west boundary of the Borough of Bluff, along Bluff Road, Blackwater Street, Gore Street, and Marine Parade to the pilot station at Stirling Point.
Christchurch—
No. 1 State Highway. From the northern boundary of Christchurch City, south of the intersection of Main North Road and Godley Avenue, along Main North Road to the intersection of Cranford Street, along Cranford Street, to intersection of Edgeware Road and Sherborne Street, along Sherborne Street to Bealey Avenue, along Bealey Avenue to Fitzgerald Avenue, along Fitzgerald Avenue to Moorhouse Avenue, along Moorhouse Avenue and Deans Avenue, to the western boundary of Christchurch City at Deans Avenue.
No. 75 State Highway. From No. 1 State Highway at intersection with Moorhouse Avenue and Lincoln Road, along Lincoln Road and Hallswell Road to the south-west boundary of Christchurch City (excluding those portions of Lincoln Road in Riccarton Borough and Paparua County).
Cromwell—
No. 8 State Highway. From the western boundary of the Borough of Cromwell, along Ana Street, Gavan Street, and Melmore Terrace to the eastern boundary of the borough at the Clutha River bridge.
Dunedin—
No. 1 State Highway. From the southern end of the Dunedin-Waitati Motorway along Pine Hill Road, Great King Street, Duke Street, Cumberland Street, Andersons Bay Road, Bridgeman Street, Wilkie Road, Main South Road, and Caversham Valley Road to the western boundary of the City of Dunedin.
Gore—
No. 1 State Highway. From the northern boundary of the Borough of Gore, along Hamilton Street, Oxford Street, Huron Street, and Railway Esplanade, over the Mataura Bridge and along Medway Street to the south-western boundary of the borough.
No. 94 State Highway. From the intersection of Main Street and Medway Street, along Main Street to the north-western boundary of the Borough of Gore.
Green Island—
No. 1 State Highway. From the eastern boundary of the Borough of Green Island, along the Main South Road to the western boundary of the borough.
Greymouth—
No. 6 State Highway. From the eastern boundary of the Borough of Greymouth, where it intersects Omoto Road, along Omoto Road, Mawhera Quay, Tainui Street, High Street, and Paroa Road to the southern boundary of the Borough of Greymouth.
No. 69 State Highway. From the northern end of the Cobden bridge via the bridge to Mawhera Quay in the Borough of Greymouth.
Hampden—
No. 1 State Highway. From the northern boundary of the Borough of Hampden along London Street, Hampden Square, and Liverpool Street to the southern boundary of the borough.
Hokitika—
No. 6 State Highway. From the north-western boundary of the Borough of Hokitika along Fitzherbert Street and Stafford Street to the east boundary of the borough at Town Belt East.
Invercargill—
No. 1 State Highway. From the north-eastern boundary of the City of Invercargill near the junction of Tay Street and Racecourse Road, along Tay Street to its junction with Dee Street and Clyde Street; thence along Clyde Street and Bluff Road to the southern boundary of the city at Kew.
No. 6 State Highway. From the northern boundary of the City of Invercargill, along Dee Street to its intersection with Tay Street, being also its junction with No. 1 State Highway.
No. 92 State Highway. From the south-eastern boundary of the City of Invercargill, along Scott Street and O’Hara Street to its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Bluff Road.
Kaikoura—
No. 1 State Highway. From the town boundary north of of the intersection of Beach Road, West End Parade, and Ludstone Terrace, along Ludstone Terrace to intersection with Churchill Street, along Churchill Street to intersection with Killarney Street and Main South Road, which is the south town boundary.
Lawrence—
No. 8 State Highway. From the north-western boundary of the Borough of Lawrence, along Beaumont Road, Ross Place, Whitehaven Street, Harrington Place, and Sowerby Street to the south-eastern boundary of the borough.
Mataura—
No. 1 State Highway. From the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Mataura, along Main Street, across the Waimumu bridge to the south-western boundary of the borough.
Milton—
No. 1 State Highway. From the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Milton along Main South Road and Union Street to the south-western boundary of the borough at the Tokomairiro River bridge.
Mosgiel—
No. 87 State Highway. From the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Mosgiel along Gordon Road to the north-western boundary of the borough.
Motueka—
No. 60 State Highway. From the southern boundary of the borough of Motueka, along Queen Victoria Street, King Edward Street, High Street Central, High Street North, to northern boundary of the Borough of Motueka.
Nelson—
No. 6 State Highway. From the northern boundary of the City of Nelson, along Wakapuaka Road, Milton Street North, Weka Street, Wainui Street, Trafalgar Street, Halifax Street, Haven Road, Wakefield Quay, Rocks Road, Main Road Tahunanui, Main Road Annesbrook, and Main Road Stoke to the southern boundary of the City of Nelson.
Oamaru—
No. 1 State Highway. From the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Oamaru along Thames Highway, Thames Street, Severn Street, and Wansbeck Street to the western boundary of the borough.
Palmerston—
No. 1 State Highway. From the eastern boundary of the Borough of Palmerston, along Ronaldsay Street and Main North Road to the southern boundary of the borough.
No. 85 State Highway. From the intersection of Ronaldsay Street and Tiverton Street, along Tiverton Street to the northern boundary of the Borough of Palmerston.

No. 6 State Highway. From the intersection of Buller Road and Crampton Street, along Buller Road, Potter Street, Victory Street, and Sinnamon Street to its intersection with Broadway.
No. 7 State Highway. From the intersection of Broadway and Donavon Street, along Broadway to its intersection with Sinnamon Street which is No. 6 State Highway.
Riccarton—
