Classification of Roads in Tauranga Borough

———

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (7)–(11) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 2nd day of July 1958† which relates to the classification of roads in Tauranga Borough and hereby approves the Tauranga Borough Council’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto.

SITUATED within Tauranga Borough—

ROADS CLASSIFIED IN CLASS II

Mirrielees Road (from its junction with Cliff Road to the northern end of Mirrielees Road).

Marsh Street (from its junction with Chapel Street to the junction of Cliff Road with Marsh Street).

The Strand (from its junction with Spring Street to the northern extremity of The Strand).

McLean Street (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of The Strand with McLean Street).

Hamilton Street (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of The Strand with Hamilton Street).

Harrington Street (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of The Strand with Harrington Street).

Wharf Street (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of The Strand with Wharf Street).

Spring Street (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of The Strand with Spring Street).

Elizabeth Street (from its junction with Glasgow Street to the junction of Devonport Road with Elizabeth Street).

First Avenue (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of Devonport Road with First Avenue).

Eighteenth Avenue (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of Fraser Street with Eighteenth Avenue).

Courtney Road (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of Fraser Street with Courtney Road).

Devonport Road (from its junction with Spring Street to the junction of Eighteenth Avenue with Devonport Road).

Fraser Street (from its junction with Eleventh Avenue to the southern boundary of Tauranga Borough).

Otumoetai Road (from its junction with Waihi Road to the junction of Beach Road with Otumoetai Road).

Ngatai Road (from its junction with Otumoetai Road to the junction of Maxwell’s Road with Ngatai Road).

Grange Road (from its junction with Otumoetai Road to the junction of Valley Road with Grange Road).

Valley Road (from its junction with Grange Road to the junction of Bureta Road with Valley Road).

Bureta Road (from its junction with Valley Road to the junction of Ngatai Road with Bureta Road).

Cameron Road (from its junction with Brown Street to the south-western boundary of Tauranga Borough).

Brown Street (from its junction with Cliff Road to the junction of Cameron Road with Brown Street).

Cliff Road (from its junction with Brown Street to the junction of Mirrielees Road with Cliff Road).

Dive Crescent (from its junction with Mirrielees Road to the junction of The Strand with Dive Crescent).

Waihi Road (from Judea Bridge to the western boundary of Tauranga Borough).

Eleventh Avenue (from its junction with Cameron Road to the Judea Bridge).

Eleventh Avenue (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of Fraser Street with Eleventh Avenue).

Turret Road (from its junction with Fifteenth Avenue to the southern boundary of Tauranga Borough).

Fifteenth Avenue (from its junction with Cameron Road to the junction of Turret Road with Fifteenth Avenue).

Chapel Street (from its junction with Brown Street to the junction of Maxwell’s Road with Chapel Street).

ROADS CLASSIFIED IN CLASS III

All other roads situated within the Borough of Tauranga.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Hokianga Development Scheme)

———

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of the notice dated 15 September 1930 and published in the Gazette, 25 September 1930, Volume III, page 2850, and the notice dated 19 January 1953 published in the Gazette, 23 January 1953, Volume I, page 85.
