MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL

MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL WORKS LOAN 1959, £4,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Mauriceville County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000) authorised to be raised by the Mauriceville County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of finance necessary for highway improvement work, hereby makes and levies a special rate of three thirty-seconds of one penny (3/32d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Mauriceville; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Mauriceville County Council at the meeting of the Mauriceville County Council held at Masterton on the 2nd day of March 1960.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets and Footpaths Loan 1959, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dargaville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing streets and footpaths within the Borough, the said Dargaville Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of five-eighths pence (⁵⁄₈d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Dated at Dargaville this 3rd day of March 1960.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

County Office Loan 1959, £25,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting new county offices, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point one five five of a penny (0·155d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on 29 February 1960.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Marine Parade Dual Carriageway Loan 1959, £26,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £26,500 (twenty-six thousand five hundred pounds), authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the four-lane highway on the Marine Parade, Napier, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one nought seven (·107) of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 31st day of July in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that, at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Matakaoa taken on the 2nd day of March 1960 on the proposal that the system of rating in the said County of Matakaoa be on the unimproved value—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 289
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 66
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

OBJECTIONS TO TUAKAU BOROUGH COUNCIL DISTRICT SCHEME

THE Tuakau Borough Council hereby gives notice that the hearing of objections to the district scheme relating to the Borough of Tuakau will commence in the Council Chambers, George Street, Tuakau, at 9.45 a.m., on the 5th day of April 1960, and will continue at such time and place until all objectors and witnesses have been heard. All persons who wish to be heard in support of or in opposition to any objection shall notify the Council accordingly at least three days before that date. The objections are available for inspection and copying at the office of the Borough Council.

The following is a summary of the subject-matter of objections received by the Council and an indication of the location of the property concerned:
