Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Selwyn County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for gravel pit purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn, in trust, for that purpose.

Licensing William Davies to Use and Occupy Parts of the Bed of the Lake at Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, as Sites for a Floating Jetty and for Storing Rowboats

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licences and permits William Davies (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy parts of the bed of the lake at Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, as shown on plans marked M.D. 8593 and M.D. 7661 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a floating jetty thereon as shown on plan marked M.D. 8593, and for storing rowboats in the area outlined in green and marked “D” on plan marked M.D. 7661, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable shall be ten pounds (£10).
3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1960.
