Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Dunedin City Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as reserves for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin, in trust, for those purposes

Vesting a Reserve in the Waitemata County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby vests the reserve described in the Schedule hereto in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata, in trust, for a site for a public hall.

Licensing the Dargaville Borough Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Wairoa River as a Site for Stopbanks

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Dargaville Borough Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Wairoa River as a site for stopbanks, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10686 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon stopbanks as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The annual sum payable by the Council shall be one shilling (1s.) payable on demand.

  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of December 1959.

Licensing the Auckland Provincial Speedboat Club (Inc.) to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Flat Rock, Tamaki Estuary, as a Site for a Boat-launching Ramp

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Auckland Provincial Speedboat Club (Inc.) (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Flat Rock, Tamaki Estuary, as a site for a boat-launching ramp, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10707 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of December 1959.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable three pounds (£3).

Declaring Areas to be Access Lanes for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1958

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1958, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the First Schedule hereto, the areas of water firstly to sixthly described in the Second Schedule hereto shall respectively be access lanes and that within such access lanes regulations 9 and 10 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1958 shall not apply.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Each access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Brightly painted marker buoys shall be suitably moored at the seaward end of each side of the access lane.

  2. At high-water mark on the foreshore at each side of the access lane in line with the marker buoys there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2ft 6in. by 2ft painted white with black letters.

  3. The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice.

Access lane through which motor launches towing water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Firstly, all that area of water at Orewa beach bounded on the sides by parallel lines 110yd apart, extending in an east-north-east direction 200yd from the edge of the water, the south-eastern boundary being a production of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 44, D.P. 12795.

Secondly, all that area of water at Stanmore Bay Beach bounded on the sides by parallel lines 110yd apart extending in a north-easterly direction 200yd from the edge of the water, the south-eastern boundary being a production of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 33497.

Thirdly, all that area of water at Polkinghorne's Bay - Manly Beach bounded on the sides by parallel lines 110yd apart extending in a northerly direction 200yd from the edge of the water, the eastern boundary being a production of the eastern boundary of Lot 56, D.P. 11689.

Fourthly, all that area of water at Tyndall's Bay Beach bounded on the side by parallel lines 110yd apart extending in a north-westerly direction 200yd from the edge of the water, the south-western boundary being a production of the north-eastern boundary of Lot 11, D.P. 30753.

Fifthly, all that area of water at Matakaita Bay Beach bounded on the sides by parallel lines 110yd apart extending in a southerly direction 200yd from the edge of the water, the eastern boundary being a production of the eastern boundary of Lot 27, D.P. 28401.

Sixthly, all that area of water at Arkles Bay Beach bounded on the sides by parallel lines 110yd apart extending in a south-easterly direction 200yd from the edge of the water, the north-eastern boundary being a production of the north-eastern boundary of Lot 173, D.P. 21728.

As the said areas are shown on plan marked M.D. 10717 and deposited in the Marine Department at Wellington.
