NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Variety Products Ltd. will be held on the 18th day of December 1959, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the Courthouse, Bristol Street, Levin, on Friday, the 18th day of December 1959, at 2 p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

BASIL JAMES HILL and THOMAS ANTHONY HILL, formerly carrying on business at Hamilton and elsewhere as agricultural contractors in partnership under the firm name of Hill Brothers, hereby give notice that their partnership has been dissolved as from the 30th day of November 1959.
BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets Improvements Supplementary Loan 1959, Security Rate
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges for a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500) authorised to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Streets Improvements Loan No. 2, 1957 was sanctioned and raised, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ·0279 of a penny (decimal nought two seven nine pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
That, pursuant to section 45 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby permanently appropriates and pledges as security for the Streets Improvements Supplementary Loan 1959, the special rate mentioned in the foregoing resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of Resolution No. 6186, passed by the Otahuhu Borough Council, and recorded in the minutes of proceedings of the meeting held on the 14th day of October 1959.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1959, £23,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-three thousand pounds (£23,000) authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting staff houses thereon, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal three one seven pence (0·317d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on 10 November 1959.

HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Supply Loan, £45,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, public notice is hereby given that the Havelock North Borough Council, at a special meeting held on 26 November 1959, passed the following resolution:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £45,000 authorised to be raised by the Havelock North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for a water supply, the said Havelock North Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·2872d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Havelock North; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan be fully paid off; and that such resolution be submitted for confirmation at a special meeting of the Council to be held on the 24th day of December 1959.”

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
County Bridges Loan 1959, £5,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Westland County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Westland County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erection county bridges, the said Westland County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-thirtieth of a penny (1/30d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Westland; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on 21 May and 21 November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that the Whangarei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to take the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for road, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the piece of land required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council, situated in Rose Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land must lodge their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council, Rose Street, Whangarei.
