Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as
they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply
to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the
following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment and limited to cartage
associated with his father's farming activities for the employer
described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive
a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Determination by the Minister of Customs Under Section 2
of the Customs Amendment Act 1959
PURSUANT to section 2 of the Customs Amendment Act 1959,
the Minister of Customs doth hereby determine that entries
shall be made under Part V of the Customs Act 1913 in
respect of the under-mentioned imported goods:
Aircraft, or ships and other vessels, for service within New
Zealand, when imported otherwise than as cargo in any
vessel.
The aforesaid determination shall take effect on the date
of notification in the Gazette.

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, it is hereby notified

scribed by the said Act.

Date of Election of Members of Fire Boards by
Fire-insurance Companies
PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, it is hereby notified
that an election by the fire-insurance companies carrying on
business in New Zealand of members of the under-mentioned
Fire Boards will be held on Tuesday, the 16th day of February
1960, at 12 noon, in the manner prescribed by the said Act.
The number of members to be elected in the case of the
Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board, the Christchurch Metro-
politan Fire Board, the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board,
and the North Shore Fire Board shall be four. In the case of
Hastings, Hutt Valley and Bays, Napier, Nelson, Rotorua,
Wanganui, and Wellington Fire Boards, the number shall be
three, and in all others two members.
