ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Street Improvements Loan 1959 of £6,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Roxburgh Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Roxburgh Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving streets and footpaths in the Borough of Roxburgh, the said Roxburgh Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of sixpence halfpenny (6½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Roxburgh, comprising the whole of the Borough of Roxburgh, and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 2nd day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Roxburgh Borough Council at a meeting held on the 9th day of November 1959.

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
I, Henry Thompson Metherell, Chairman of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board, do hereby certify that the following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board held in Rangiora on the 17th day of November 1959:
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and by all other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £70,000 authorised to be raised by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Canterbury Electric Power District and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny (1/15d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of all portions of the Rangiora, Kowai, Eyre, Oxford, Ashley, Waipara, Cheviot, Amuri, and Kaikoura Counties within the Board’s district, such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
