NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Brinsdon Electrical Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the members of the above-named company has been summoned for the purpose of passing a resolution for voluntary winding up and that a meeting of creditors of the above-named company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the office of Barr, Burgess, and Stewart, N.Z. Express Building, 9-11 Bond Street, Dunedin, on the 10th day of September 1959, at 11 a.m.

Business
(1) Consideration of a statement of the position of the company’s affairs and lists of creditors, etc.
(2) Nomination of liquidator.
(3) Appointment of committee of inspection if thought fit.

FABERS FURNISHING (AUCKLAND) LTD.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Fabers Furnishing (Auckland) Ltd., a company duly incorporated having its registered office in the City of Auckland in New Zealand and carrying on business as merchants.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 19th day of August 1959 confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £25,000 to £5,000 and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 25th day of August 1959. The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of Fabers Furnishing (Auckland) Ltd. is £5,000 divided into 25,000 shares of four shillings each fully paid, having been reduced from £25,000 divided into 25,000 shares of one pound each fully paid.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand one hundred pounds (£35,100) to be known as the Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1959, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of erecting Pensioners’ Flats in Avon Street, Parnell, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of one penny (1/15 of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £55,000, to be known as the Crematorium Loan 1959, authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a crematorium and a house for the attendant, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of seven over thirty-two parts of a penny (7/32d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of New Plymouth; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 17th day of August 1959.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street Widening Loan 1959, £28,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-eight thousand pounds (£28,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing and meeting compensation for acquiring land in High Street, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six hundred and twenty-two thousandths of a penny (0·622d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 26th day of August 1959.

RUSSELL TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

At an ordinary meeting of the Russell Town Council held at the Council office, Russell, on Tuesday, 14 July 1959, the following resolution was carried:

“(a) That the raising of a loan for £2,846 from the National Provident Fund, to be known as the Staff Housing Loan 1959, £2,846, be confirmed.
“(b) That a single debenture for the loan be issued and signed by the Chairman and Town Clerk.
“(c) That a special rate of one half-penny in the pound be appropriated and pledged as security for the loan.”

TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges for a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the said Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of six pensioners’ flats, the said Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·06d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Te Awamutu, comprising the whole of the Borough of Te Awamutu, and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The Common Seal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Council in the presence of—
