PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 27 August 1959, amended the under-mentioned standard specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder.
Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 1444:1959: Higher tensile steel chain slings and rings, links, alternative to rings, egg links and intermediate links; being B.S. 2902: 1957.
Amendment: No. 1 (Ref. No. PD 3225, 3 December 1958).
Price of Copy (Post Free): 10s.
Application for copies of the standard specification so amended should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington C. 1. Copies of the amendment will be supplied, free of charge, upon request.

Revoking Declaration of Main Highway
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Ministry of Works, hereby gives notice as follows:
- (1) The public highway described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be main highway.
(2) The Order in Council made on 14 January 1932* declaring (inter alia) the portion of public highway firstly described in the Schedule hereto to be main highway, is hereby consequentially amended by revoking so much of the Second Schedule thereto as relates to the said portion of public highway.
(3) The Order in Council made on 11 September 1940† declaring (inter alia) the portion of public highway secondly described in the Schedule hereto to be main highway, is hereby consequentially amended by revoking so much of the Second Schedule thereto as relates to the said portion of public highway.
- This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE
ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 2A
PAPAKURA-TITI: All that highway or portion of public highway in the Borough of Papakura as described in Gazette, No. 6, 21 January 1932, page 110, being a distance of 46 chains more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 83105 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington.
McLennan Road: All that highway or portion of highway in the Borough of Papakura as described in Gazette, No. 98, 12 September 1940, page 2312, being a distance of 34 chains more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108545 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington.
