DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Extension Loan 1959 of £200,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as
follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin
Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of extending the drainage system within
the board’s district and to provide for pumping station and
other ancillary works, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewer-
age Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·2179d. in the
pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property
in the board’s district, comprising the whole of the City of
Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each
and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewer-
age Board on the above-mentioned date.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to take for road the portions of land described in the First
Schedule hereto, to take for the use, convenience, and enjoy-
ment of a road the portions of land described in the Second
Schedule hereto, and to stop the portions of road described
in the Third Schedule hereto.
A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and
of the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for
public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council,
Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date
of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to
the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the
office of the Council on or before the 5th day of October
1959.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution
of the Piako County Council on the 21st day of July 1958,
a district scheme has been recommended for approval under
the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme
relates to the Waihou area and the area of the Piako
County adjoining the Borough of Te Aroha, and is known
as section 1 of the County’s District Planning Scheme. The
scheme has been deposited at the County office, Kenrick
Street, Te Aroha, and is there open for inspection, without
fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the
County office is open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be
in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule
to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and
shall be lodged at the office of the County Council at any
time not later than the 30th day of September 1959.
At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose
any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of
objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within
a period of which public notice will be given.

HAMPDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER REDUCING NUMBERS OF COUNCILLORS
WE, the undersigned, Mayor and Town Clerk respectively,
of the Hampden Borough Council, hereby certify under the
Council’s Seal that the following resolution, by way of special
order, was duly passed at a special meeting of the Hampden
Borough Council held on the 20th day of July 1959 and duly
confirmed at a subsequent special meeting held on the 17th
day of August 1959, the said resolution and special order
being in the following words:
“That the total number of councillors for the Council of
the Borough of Hampden shall henceforth be reduced in
numbers from nine councillors to six councillors.”
The Common Seal of the Hampden Borough Council was
hereto affixed this 20th day of August 1959 in the presence
